2019 cultivation memo
March 14, 2020 IN INFORMATION
From January to March 2019, it was warmer than normal, and the amount of rainfall per month was a few millimeters. As a result, germination was delayed by about two weeks compared to last year. Flowering has also become late. Also, the rainy season is about 10 days longer than normal, and it seems to have rained until July 29 at Azumino Tennobara, and then for a few days, it suddenly became sunny and the maximum temperature was 35 degrees. Merlot trees could not respond to this climate change, and some plants had physiological disorders. Verizon started around August 15th and was very late colored.
From this harsh progress, it was the year when the sugar content has caught up in September, with a continuous condition in fine weather. Chardonnay was able to harvest healthy fruits in very good condition.
PS: It is a memorable year when two trees of Ryugan Zenkoji, which were planted experimentally, had one fruit for the first time in the third year. This is a photograph of the frutis of Ryugan Fence of Azumino Tennobara.
